I’m Gonzalo, a Miami photographer who has been living and working on photographs in Miami for the past 6 years. I LOVE capturing people through photography and managing to get their essence and personality in an image. Another of the important things to consider to ask, when hiring photographers for portraits, is how relaxed you feel. While the most skilled portrait photographers might be extremely talented but they could prove to be complete nightmares for people who have never done a pose before. I will make sure that you’re relaxed and at ease with me while I assist you with your pose, even if you’ve never had a photo shoot before. I’m familiar with a variety of poses for beginners and advanced ones that will make you feel happy with the final pictures and feel glad you picked me.

Outdoor Flash Portrait Photography

I use outdoor off camera flash to be able to overpower the sun in even the sunniest days, it’s so the lighting is perfect on your face and makes you look amazing. I can also do an indoor photo shoot in the studio or at the office.

Design District Portraits

This is definitely my favorite spot to recommend, the parking situation is amazing and Design District permits a lot of photo shoots without much of a hassle. I’d definitely recommend this for a portrait shoot.

Brickell Photos

Brickell is one of the most popular spots just because of the location density, Beautiful skyscrapers and high rise buildings make for great shadows to play with in photos. I’ll make sure you love your Brickell photo shoot

Wynwood Portrait Photographer

The studio is here and shooting in Wynwood is amazing for the backgrounds where it can look artistic or very formal depending on what backdrop you pick.

There is nothing like the art and culture of Wynwood, Florida, and there is no place to see it more vibrantly than at the Wynwood Walls District. Park your car at a coffee shop and wander around. You’ll see colorful buildings and amazing pieces of art, and you’ll be in the perfect setting for a great portrait session. The perfect location for a special photo shoot is also close to some of the city’s best restaurants and nightclubs.

Broward Portraits

Broward is a small drive from me, having lived there a couple times I understand there’s not a lot there, but we can do beautiful images near the beautiful green parks or with the buildings in one of Broward’s many downtown cities

Fort Lauderdale photo shoots are very different just because of the sheer size of the city, you can really do anything there. I’ve shot with huge buildings and at the beach and all the pics come out so different and unique in their own way.

FAQ for portrait photography

Bring water or some type of liquid to stay hydrated, your change of clothes and make sure to bring a towel and your makeup if you use any. It can get a bit hot in Florida.

We suggest choosing a color combination that you like or the look you wish to communicate. For example, if you prefer cooler colors

Beware of logos and graphic prints which could be distracting from the overall picture. Take into consideration the colors you have that you have in your home. 

Feel free to bring any clothes you really like and I can help you out picking what could suit you best for images. Overall i’d recommend variety to have many different looks. For example a suit for formal and a nice blank shirt for casual. I wont charge you extra at all if you bring your whole wardrobe ;).

Why I Shoot RAW for Fashion

Every single shoot is shot with RAW format. If RAW images are taken there is no processing applied so the file is more tonal and color information. With more information stored inside the files, there’s more flexibility in processing than JPEG can provide. So it’s necessary for my type of shooting and editing. I will not send you the RAWs unless you want to pay a huge extra. I’ll deliver the fully edited images (unless you have premium editing software you probably can’t edit it anyways)

I generally do not provide every picture that is captured. We remove any seemingly duplicates, the test images don’t get imported into our system, as well as photos with unattractive expressions and closed eyes are not sent to proof. The primary reason we take more photos than the client actually gets is to ensure that the prints are in print. The client does not have to pay for extra photographs taken because we guarantee the client. If the client has to see the photographs from the entire shoot then this CAN BE requested with an additional charge based on the quantity of photos proofed.

Feel free to bring others to fashion shoots

If you’re an minor who is not represented (under 18 years old) you must be with a parent or legal guardian and I really advice you are accompanied even if you are represented. If you’re older than 18, you can still invite a friend or family member or anyone to the photoshoot, if you want to.  Shoots can be much more fun with a partner but make sure it’s someone you’re 100% comfortable with and will not interfere with the shoot. Also if you feel easily stressed or anxious I recommend you come alone, I promise ill do everything in my power to make you feel comfortable.

You are welcome to take an online look to get ideas and inspiration. Feel free to send me a mood board or an idea-board you’ve created for your final shots so that I can be the exact match for your portrait as you like.

Depending on the type and type of session you have booked it’ll take from a day to a week (also depends on how many sessions I have in the week.)

When your session is ready for download, you may print, publish and share your images at any time and for as long you’d would like. Editorial submissions to one of the many online magazines is fine too. The Images are yours do with them as you wish. As long as you’re the one having booked the shoot, else make sure to also ask my client for permission.

YES! You may use the images as you see bit

After your session is made available to download, you are able to print, publish and share your images in as many ways and for as long you’d would like. Photos can be shared with another commercial end-user that has the same manner. For instance, if you’re an artist and you’ve received photographs from a scheduled session, you could create marketing material which you distribute could use as in-store advertising, marketing and signs in the store, fliers and billboards.

I can’t promise that we will be allowed to shoot in the spots you want. It has to be in agreement with the property especially if it’s a private area at the moment of shooting for what they consider to be a professional shoot. Also, we would not photograph in locations in which one has reasonable expectations of privacy from photographers. Hotels are usually filled with guests lingering around, and we will not be shooting in these circumstances. While it’s possible to shoot in your condominium or hotel, we are unable to assure you of this scenario without the prior written permission of the hotel or condominium. I’ve had many occasions where the hotel has kicked us out and it’s no fun for anybody. Inside your apartment can be fine or even inside your home as long as it’s allowed.

Please reach out to me with your idea and I can probably find another location better suited if you’re unsure about being allowed to shoot there
